По умолчанию Re: NASCAR TRACKS

Just kidding jokingly:
- Who the Hell let Cortney Love and her band "Hole" sing national anthem ?
- Let`s name it clear: Daytona 501 aka 500 miles + 1 hole !

Restart - Lap 164: Kevin Harvick restarts as the leader.

6:31 p.m. ET - Red flag rescinded, cars rolling off pit road.
The red flag lasted 44 minutes, 35 seconds
6:29 p.m. ET - Engines restarted.
As we prepare to refire the engines, the sun is down so track conditions will be completely different than expected.
6:23 p.m. ET - Drivers called back to their vehicles

Red Flag No. 2 - 5:46 p.m. ET.

Clint Bowyer broke his splitter because of the hole. (Turn#2)
Kevin Harvick says the hole is bigger than before.
"Bet you we never race on this asphalt again -- and it's a shame too.
The hole is bigger than it was before and there's nothing left in it."

CAUTION 6 - Lap 159: A competition caution has been called. "The hole is back. It's wide open again" -- race leader Kevin Harvick

Lap 156: Harvick is out front of the hungry pack behind him.

Lap 144: Clint Bowyer: "I hit that hole again, I dont know I did anything."

Lap 123: Cars have come onto pit road for service shortly after restarting.
The red flag period officially lasted 1 hour, 40 minutes, 45 seconds.

5:00 p.m. ET - Engines refired, red flag rescinded.
4:53 p.m. ET - Drivers called back to their cars.

4:48 p.m. ET - Mike Dillon, Clint Bowyer's spotter, jokingly texts Lee Spencer: "Track conditions unfavorable for racing. Clint Bowyer wins!" Wishful thinking from Dillon.

4:23 p.m. ET: Brian France on the track issue -
"It's a combination of the moisture and the cold.
"The good news is we will get it solved.
In midst of probably our best Daytona 500 in a long time.
Obviously, we all want to get it started."

3:52 p.m. ET - NASCAR is allowing drivers to get out of their cars.
3:40 p.m. ET - Track officials are working on another hole in the track. The race is still under red flag.
3:21 p.m. ET - Lap 123: Cars are brought onto pit road and the red flag is displayed. Crews are going out on track to try to fix the hole near the yellow line in Turn 2.

Lap 121: Kurt Busch: "I’m looking at a hole in Turn 2. Eight (8) inches long by six (6) inches wide"
Lap 120: The caution is extended for a hole in the track in Turn 2.
Lap 116: Jimmie Johnson comes in right as the caution comes out - he has a flat tire --- very fortunate timing for the caution.
CAUTION 4 - Lap 116: John Andretti seemed to have a tire issue and just went straight into the wall.

CAUTION 1 -- Lap 7: Big crash in Turn 2. Several cars involved. Brad Keselowski had some sort of issue and spun around to create the melee. Other cars involved include Regan Smith, Sam Hornish Jr., Mike Bliss, Max Papis and Boris Said.
