Jeff Burton led all 300 laps in winning at Loudon in September 2000.
It was the first race since 1978 that a driver led every lap (Cale Yarborough, Nashville) and only the (6) sixth time in Cup Series history.

Kyle Busch took the lead with 33 laps to go in Saturday's "New England 200" NASCAR Nationwide Series race at NHMS and survived a late restart to capture the victory. The win was the 100th for Kyle in NASCAR's top 3 series and was his 49th Nationwide Series win, which ties Busch with Mark Martin for the all-time series lead.

Dylan Kwasniewski (#03) won for the second week in a row in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, by overtaking his teammate Greg Pursley (#26) on lap 52 of Saturday's "Toyota / TTC 150" at Montana Raceway Park. It was the 7th top-5 finish of the season in 10 starts for the 16 year-old rookie driver from Las Vegas.

Some drivers, most notably Greg Biffle, were critical of Boris Said for the way the road-course specialist drove at Watkins Glen. Track Smack wonders, did they have a legitimate complaint?

Mike Stefanik returned to victory lane in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour for the first time since 2009 in Saturday's "Granite State Classic" at NHMS. Stefanik took the lead on lap 73 and held off Woody Pitkat by .069 second following a green-white-checker restart.

My favorite driver is Dale Jr. I met his dad in the fall of 1990 in Goodyear Arizona when he came into the pizza place I was working. Mr. Earnhardt talked about being in town for the races (which on race weeks we heard a lot), but then he started talking about his three kids who were around my age
