По итогам квалификации на первой линии по праву расположились Маркус Эмброуз и Жак Вильнёв. На второй линии Джои Логано (второе место в Уоткинс-Глене) и Карл Эдвардс (действующий победитель гонки в Монреале, свою победу добыл в последнем повороте гонки, обогнав Эмброуза).
Лидер чемпионата Брэд Кеселовски стартует восьмым.

Эдвардс прилично прессовал Вильнёва после рестарта.

Алекс Кеннеди и Брайан Скотт столкнулись в связке третьего и четвёртого поворотов. Брайан серьёзно приложился к отбойнику задней частью своей Тойоты.

Вот так Логано казалось бы испортил себе гонку, повредив левое переднее колесо об машину Вильнёва на рестарте:
